This makes installation fast, self contained and straightforward and the Lock-Tech Systems Technical Team has been SALTO trained to install their entire diverse range of products with the highest level of efficiency and expertise.

SALTO has been Lock-Tech System’s preferred Access Control system on our most demanding projects, both in scale and in technical requirements – including enterprises such as Cardiff University’s School of Psychology Building Refurbishment, the Hazel Court Extra Care Housing Project in Swansea and the Seafront Student Accommodation Redevelopment in Aberystwyth, to name just a few of our most recent endeavours.

The SALTO system’s greatest strength is in it’s flexibility, being an Access Control system that uses distributed intelligence in both the lock and the key to communicate freely with PC based SALTO programming software that makes lock re-programming or re-keying a thing of the past. Both key cards and locks can be programmed to allow or restrict access to different parts of the building. And the information stored in the key card can be transferred to a computer to provide precise audit trail information about where and when each lock has been used including the date, time and whether access was allowed or denied. And when combined with the additional functionality provided by the SALTO Virtual Network (SVN), users can achieve 90% of the benefits of a fully on-line system for the cost of a stand-alone system.

 XS4 is the new access control platform from SALTO enabling users to control and manage a greater range of applications than ever before. Smart, secure and innovative, XS4 Comfort Electronic handle sets need no hard wiring and provide a totally wire free networked electronic locking solution with a great range of features. The XS4-40 narrow version and the XS4-67 wide body version are specially designed to fit on most doors, and work with the majority of European, Scandinavian and ANSI mortise locks and some tubular latches.

The SALTO system is also designed to integrate more traditional Hard Wired Control Units and Wall Readers intended to link into the building Ethernet network and allow immediate control over connected doors, with access rights being updated directly and the SALTO Virtual Network transmitting the new data with every card use. Online doors will also communicate user information for system auditing, recording not just the use of that particular door but also the data stored on each card that accesses it, making a continuously updated web of information that grows with use.

SALTO Online doors are also superior over their competitors in that should a door lose it’s connection to the Ethernet it will continue to function in offline mode, relying on the most recent version of the relevant data stored on it’s Control Unit and updates via the Virtual Network until connection is restored. The SALTO range is so versatile in it’s software support and hardware development that SALTO products include Locker locks, E-Cylinders, Energy Saving Devices, and Lift Operation, incorporating  a dizzying array of programmable functionality as well as the option for High Security features such as secondary locks, key and keypad over-rides and Panic furnishings.

- The lock can always be opened from the inside (a single action panic feature works in conjunction with the relevant mortise lock).
