Lock-Tech-Systems prides itself not only on the range of technologies that we support but also on our success in integrating each one to work efficiently and beneficially together, linking Access Control devices, Intercom systems, Door Operation and many others to provide our customers with optimal, simple to use and un-obtrusive tools to meet their particular needs.
The high level of interaction available with modern electronics offers a vast range of possibilities to users but can also be bewildering and awkward to implement. Our team of technicians has the experience and capability to get the best performance possible from a range of combinations of the market leading technologies in this field and enable a straight forward user experience with minimum fuss.
A typical example of this kind of integration would be in the field of secure accommodation. Many councils and charities offer sheltered accomodation for those in need, providing safe and secure housing where access can be restricted and the residents needs can be catered for.
In such a situation, access control is the first requirement as the housing environment must be kept secure and access to rooms and facilities may need to be monitored. As residency tends to be only temporary a flexible system is advantagous for building management, allowing tenants access to be restricted or extended easily and without expense.
Guests and other council workers will often be frequent visitors so intercoms from the main entrance to each room and the building management offices are also a common feature and are usually linked into the access control so that the door can be opened without a vulnerable resident needing to leave their rooms or unnecessarily disturbing other tenants.
Many charities provide temporary housing exclusively for those with special needs and it is unusual at present for additional measures to not be provided to allow access for the elderly or disabled. Additional devices for the blind or hard of hearing can be fitted to telephones or intercoms, remote controls can be connected to permit residents with movement disabilities easier access and panic alarms can summon aid in case of emergency – automatically un-locking doors to provide quick access.
Automatic doors are secured with electric strikes or mag-locks, linked to release on activation of the door operator or the access control system and lock securely once the door is shut.
Finally, fire alarms links can be added to the entire system to provide safe exit from the area and problem free re-activation of building systems once the danger has passed.
