Established in 1933 as Swansea Timber & Plywood Co Ltd, Lock-Tech evolved as the architectural ironmongery division of the firm. Despite its name, this company has its roots in architectural ironmongery almost from instigation, having originally supplied ironmongery to local builders, cabinet makers and joiners shops.
Now under the control of the third generation of the Harvey family, it has a structured management team and dedicated staff, all who have a commitment to honing their skills by continued training and development.
Lock-Tech now accounts for more than 70% of the company’s sales and such has been the success of the Lock-Tech name that the company protected its interest by successfully registering it as a Registered Trademark in the 1990’s.

Based in the industrial heartlands of South Wales, yet on the edge of the beautiful Gower peninsula are the premises of the only independent architectural ironmonger accepted as members of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers, in South Wales.
Staffed by members of the Institute of Architectural Ironmongers, backed up by an extensive stock, we are able to provide off the shelf solutions to satisfy the most discerning specification.
